On International Women’s Day 2018, advertising creatives Charlotte Hugh and Danny Pallett set themselves the rather ambitious challenge of shining a light on a different, young, female creative every single day for an entire year.
In world where only 2% of creative directors are women, and many young women are dropping out before they’ve even signed their first contract, Hugh & Pallett set up Badass.Gal in a bid to address this challenge and hold open the door to the next generation of talent.
Fast forward to International Women’s Day 2019 and Badass.Gal is celebrating 365 days of creative talent. To mark the occasion, the pair have launched their most recent project #BadassBecause.
Since launching Badass.gal, it became clear that many young women often shy away from celebrating their success. So #BadassBecause aims to break the stigma surrounding self-promotion and encourage more women to own their achievements.
